Concrete and heavy debris dumpster rental in Tampa, Florida

For heavy debris

Tampa Concrete Dumpster Rental

Breaking up a driveway, a patio or an old slab? Concrete, dirt and brick are much heavier than they look, so they go in a 10-yard box sized for the weight. That way it leaves in one trip.

Heavy loads

Why concrete gets its own box

Every dumpster has a weight limit, set by what the truck can legally carry. A cubic yard of broken concrete or wet dirt weighs far more than a cubic yard of household junk.

So a driveway tear-out, a patio, a pile of fill dirt or a stack of brick goes in a 10-yard. Depending on the material, it may only be partly full when it hits the limit. That's normal, and it's still the right box.

The material Usual size Notes
Concrete (driveway, patio, slab) 10 yard Often only partly full at the weight limit.
Dirt or fill 10 yard Wet dirt weighs more. Mention it if it has rained.
Brick or block 10 yard Same weight rules as concrete.
Rock or gravel 10 yard Keep it separate from other debris.
Asphalt 10 yard Tell us before it goes in.
Mixed heavy and light debris Ask us Describe the mix and we'll size it.

A big box filled with heavy debris is the one mistake that gets a container refused at pickup. Tell us what's going in.

Where it goes wrong

The box that's too heavy to move

It happens every summer. Someone rents a 20 for a patio, fills it to the top with concrete, and the truck can't lift it. Then half of it has to come back out by hand before anything moves.

Keeping each load to one material helps too. A clean load of concrete or dirt is simpler to take away than one with wood and trash mixed in, so keep them apart if you can.

Describe the load

The material and a rough size, like a patio or a pile about waist high.

One material per box

Keep trash and wood apart from the concrete where you can.

Plan the loading

Put the box where a wheelbarrow or skid steer can reach and the truck can back in straight.

Questions

Concrete Dumpster questions

Don’t see yours? Put it in the notes on the form and a local provider will follow up.

Can I put concrete in a dumpster?
Yes, in the right size box. Concrete is heavy, so it goes in a 10-yard. Tell us it's coming so we send the right one.
Why can't I fill a big dumpster with concrete?
Because the weight limit runs out long before the space does. A large box full of concrete would be far over what the truck can legally carry.
How much concrete fits in a 10-yard dumpster?
Less than the box's volume, because the weight limit comes first. Describe the slab or pile on the form and we'll tell you if it's one haul or two.
Can I mix concrete with other debris?
It's better not to. Clean loads of concrete or dirt are simpler to handle. If you have both, tell us and we'll suggest the best setup.
How much does a concrete dumpster cost in Tampa?
It depends on the material, how much of it there is and how long the box stays. Delivery, pickup and the landfill fee are typically included. The local provider confirms pricing for your request.
